Life Expectancy With Cancer
How Is Life Expectancy For Cancer Patients Calculated?
Life expectancy with cancer is an estimation of how much long a person will live when he or she has cancer. The life expectancy of a cancer patient is affected by a wide variety of factors such as diet, stress, emotional state, type of cancer and the patient’s family’s disease history. The calculation of a person’s life expectancy with cancer is not accurate all of the time because the calculations are made on some form of statistical analysis of a large group of people, which may not be applicable to you at all. No two people are alike and you may exercise your free will by making better choices to improve your situation.
How Does Life Expectancy Affect Cancer Patients?
Cancer patients usually feel overwhelmed when they are told that they have very little time to live. It is plausible that a doctor can wrongly determine the life expectancy of a cancer patient. False life expectancies are like “death sentences”, whereby the cancer patient “thinks” himself or herself to death by anticipating their date of death according to their life expectancy. Only the strong-willed and positive minority will disregard the predictions made by doctors. Unfortunately, most people take their life expectancy as if it were 100% true.
How To Improve The Life Expectancy Of Cancer Patients
The first thing to do is to follow your doctor’s recommendations provided that he or she has a good track record for curing your type of cancer. A responsible doctor will tell you what to do and what not to do in order to treat your cancer. Some of these treatments may give you the impression of making you sicker. They could be temporary side effects or futile attempts to cure your cancer.
If you have been following your doctor’s advice and their treatments have no positive effect on you any more, then the time has come to consider alternative cancer treatments if you haven’t already.
It is obvious that what you have been doing in the past has caused the cancer in your present. Nothing short of a radical change in your diet and lifestyle will improve your condition. Be willing to cut out all your toxic habits like smoking, drinking or drugs. Consume organic vegetables and meat as much as possible and dramatically reduce your stress levels to give your body’s immune system a chance to fight the cancer cells naturally from within.
